Transforming Harvest Into Value
Our milling operation processes fresh fruit bunches quickly, with mills located near our estates to minimise harvest-to-processing time. Direct plantation-to-mill flow ensures consistent quality, strong traceability, and reliable supply.

Milling (Processing of Fresh Fruit Bunches)
JB Farms' milling operations are designed to process harvested fresh fruit bunches efficiently and promptly to preserve oil quality. At the mill, fruit bunches are sterilised and stripped to separate the fruits from the bunch. The fruits are then pressed to extract crude palm oil, while palm nuts are recovered for palm kernel processing. The process also generates valuable by-products such as empty fruit bunches, palm kernel shells, and palm oil mill effluent, which are managed for reuse in agriculture, energy, and wider sustainability initiatives.

Capacity & Infrastructure
From 6-tonnes-per-hour mills to a 30-tonnes-per-hour fully automated facility, our milling operations are designed for scale, consistency, and speed. With modern equipment and robust infrastructure, we process fresh fruit bunches quickly after harvest helping preserve oil quality, maximise yield, and maintain reliable supply as we grow.
Our plantations, mills, and processing facilities are strategically located to support seamless movement of raw materials and finished products. Close proximity to farms and access to water sources keep operations efficient and reduce logistical bottlenecks.
